Customers rave about the fish quality and the light, crispy batter that envelops the flaky cod. The mushy peas are homemade, avoiding the tinned variety, which adds to the authenticity. Many appreciate the clean and modern atmosphere, making each meal feel special. The friendly staff consistently provide excellent service, contributing to a warm and inviting dining experience. Additionally, the affordable pricing from £1 to £10, along with generous portions, makes it accessible for families, particularly with the kid-friendly menu offerings.

Most Disliked

Some visitors report that parking can be a hassle due to one-way streets surrounding the chippy. Although it’s usually manageable, it can deter people during busier hours. A few diners find the popularity of the shop means extended wait times, especially during peak hours on Fridays. However, many agree that the fresh food is worth the wait. Additionally, while the interior has a modern touch, some might prefer the traditional chippy vibe that’s less polished. Despite these minor drawbacks, most complaints are overshadowed by the quality of the food.

A great family run fish and chip shop. Very good service, excellent fish and they do homemade fish cake is delicious. They have small and large fish options, sausage, haggis and black pudding. Parking is on street and can be tricky as the streets surrounding are one way. Will be returning soon.

First time visit today at around 6.15 on a Friday night. Busy but not hectic. Very clean, modern looking chippy. Fish cooked fresh , ordered 2 large lightly battered cod. Sides of 1 large and 1 small mushy peas and regular chips and steak pudding (Bowens from Chorley not the usual Hollands)for my little dog £24.50 Very impressed best Fish and Chips I’ve had in the area for a long time. Nice crispy thin batter, tasty chips and good peas. Thank you we really enjoyed everything and will definitely recommend and return

A hidden gem in Leyland! Farington Chippy is absolutely spotless – sparkling silver, clean glass counters, and beautiful tiled walls give it a fresh, modern feel. It’s a cute little find with big charm. The staff are so lovely and friendly. There’s a relaxed, beachy vibe inside with decorations, menu boards and seating. Now, the food… wow. Cooked fresh to order, everything goes straight from the fryer into your bag. It’s well worth the wait for each to prepared, because the freshness and flavour are unmatched. The fish is flaky with light, crisp batter. The chips are tasty and golden, and the mushy peas are proper traditional ones – definitely not tinned. Even the barm cakes were spot on! This place takes pride in quality, and it shows. Highly recommend if you’re after proper fish and chips done right.

Can’t think of a single negative. Staff always friendly. Service speedy and always with a smile. Everything cooked from fresh. High quality ingredients, cooked perfectly and reasonably priced. The shop is well presentable, spotless, and gives me confidence regarding food hygiene. Look forward to our weekly chippy !!! I drive past 3 chippies to get to this one. Worth the extra distance. Wouldn’t go anywhere else

Always go here for fish and chips. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. The food is absolutely delicious. I never feel ill after eating here, straight after or the next day. Some chippy's in the past have left me feeling a bit ill. We love the burgers from here too. I normally get fish, which is great to have a choice of haddock or cod. The gravy is nice and thick and I think the value for money is perfect.
